Double, double toil and trouble… there’s lots of spooktacular fun to be had at Rochdale Riverside this October.
Rochdale BID is bringing a packed events calendar of frighteningly good activities to get you in the Halloween spirit, and all events are free to enjoy!
Halloween Trail – 14th – 31st October
An interactive trail, hosted in partnership with the LoyalFree app, launches on October 14th, running until October 31st.

The trail tells the story of the forgetful witch Wanda and her feline familiar Wicca. Wicca is missing and to find her Wanda must create a potion – but Wanda’s potion cupboard is bare!
The trail features 12 locations across Rochdale Town Centre, come along and creep along the trail and scan the QR code on posters displayed in shop windows around the town, checking in at each location to reveal and collect the potion ingredients – there’s a few posters to discover at Rochdale Riverside.
Wanda’s story is brought to life with a mixture of video and augmented reality – expect to see floating potion ingredients appear magically in front of your eyes when using your smartphone camera!
Explorers who complete the trail will be entered into a prize draw to win a £25 voucher for Nando’s, a family ticket for Puttstars or a Samsung tablet – the more QR codes scanned, the more chances of winning!
Share your frightening photos on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter and use the hashtag #LFHalloweenHunt for a chance to be entered into an additional national competition to win a pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds Live Wireless Earphones.
Download the LoyalFree app ahead of your visit to take part.
